The one signed by a certain well known person is a great one, not seen many of them.

You have one of the saddest photos I have ever seen there Squiggs, something that should never be forgotten.

Just a bit of work then we can let them know on here.

I would have to agree that "that" photo should never be forgotton Spike !, it was the last one of a set taken by my father in law and when we looked at them we got the shock of our lives at seeing the final one !.
I can only assume that to get a letter like that he would have had to do something very brave !.

Squiggs All uploaded now. Thank you, brilliant things you have sent on there.

    Ok people get looking.

Two very interesting additions with great pics.

Squiggs dad John " Jack Hughes, and Father-in-law Eric Cole

John " Jack Hughes http://liverpoolremembrance.weebly.c...names-g-k.html Scroll to half way

Eric Cole http://liverpoolremembrance.weebly.c...names-a-c.html Close to bottom of page

Eric took many photograhs during the war. One is included here of a mass grave at Belsen. It is graphic so warning is given here that it may upset you to see it. I think it needs to be added for its historical importance...Lest We Forget this ever happened. Also added is an Award to Eric signed by" Monty "

Eric snapped a lot in Germany in 1945 you can see them here http://liverpoolremembrance.weebly.c...otographs.html

Thank you Squiggs for submitting them. I am proud to have them on there.

Have just been on the site......how sad some of the stories are, but how proud their families must be.

This site is coming on a treat Spike & Ged, very interesting , informative and the pics are superb.
Squiggs the pics and info you have supplied keep me going back to the site and showing all my mates.
I know you are proud as punch and rightly so.

Everyone who has contributed must be given a pat on the back for helping us to remember our history and especially Spike and Ged for providing the means to keep these memories and pics in one place
And yes I've still to add mine, will get it together soon Spike !
