    Default Forks at Christmas (CTG)

    My Mom, Yoria C. George

    Forks at Christmas

Once again, Mother talks about buying cards,
writing to her friends, no longer capable.

The nursing home has planned a holiday dinner,
time to meet the staff. I know Mom's preference

for the regular crabcake and Brandy Alexander...
hopefully not sleety or rainy tonight. Cheers.

Thanks, Pabs. I had not heard that superstition but it makes sense. My Mum often says she and I get along very well and have never had a cross word, but that's not my recollection!!! She is of course losing her memory...

An empty plate and contented smile.
    Happiness measured in simple ways.

    Nice one Chris.

Hi Chris, thanks for that. Nice to meet your mom, as well.

    As superstitions go:

Crossed cutlery on your plate and expect a quarrel. [not in this case thankfully].

If you drop a table knife expect a male visitor, if you drop a fork a female visitor.

BTW, I'm not superstitious [touch wood].........only joking!!!

Thanks, dazza. I do find myself frequently shouting out, "Oh, Fork!"
