    Default SS Stormont (Cattle Boat)

In 1946 the Irish vessel Stormont was in collision with the Empire Brent in the Mersey.
Brent suffered damage to her bow and the Canadians service personnel and their families had to taken off the vessel.
Mean while, the cattle being carried on the Stormont went into the Mersey and had to swim for it as the Stormont was on her side. Stormont had to be broken up (I think).

Does anyone have more details than above and perhaps tell me where I could see some picture of this accident. I have tried various searches to find details but so far have drawn a blank.
    Any information would be welcome.

Didn't anyone tell you about Google?

The newsreel footage showing the liner is here.

There are lots of other articles about it.

Yes Bernie I have heard of Google and I use it.
You mention that there are lots of articles on this, if there are, then Google or any other web site I have tried does not show themselves with the information.
If you can help, please do.
