    Thumbs up Aintree Canal Boats

Today I took a few pics of a few canal boats being built at Aintree boat builders.
My brother used to do the woodwork for these boats so I was able to have a little walk around.

What I find amazing is the amount of bricks they use to weigh these boats down.
I never knew they used bricks.

Brothers and sisters, while my interests tend not to veer towards things maritime, it is impossible to live where I do and not notice the shipping trade, in particular the more notable vessels. My son recently introduced me to a website whereby I can, via sattelite, monitor the shipping on the river, in the docks, in fact anywhere on the coastline.
Some of the salts will know of this allready, but I find it an amusing way to while away the odd moment.
