    Default Collateral Dommage (CTG)

    Collateral Dommage

    Every massacre deserves great music,
like "The Ride of the Valkyries"

    as the helicopter gunships sweep
    into the Vietnamese village,

Bob Duvall in his cavalry hat loving
the stench of napalm in the morning.

Peace. What the hey is that?
    More bombs provide the solution.

A few more squirts of the trigger will
get us the hell outa here, buddy.

    Very nice Chris,

...and never has it been more apt for today.

    ----

Hard to imagine it's 30 years since they made Apocalypse Now. An absolute classic, telling it real, almost docu-style.

There seems to be an apocalyptic fever at the moment, maybe it's the other movie: 2012 which is responsble? Even the Rapture crowd are getting their diaries out and penciling in new dates. The world's gone mad?

Thanks, dazza. Yes it is hard to imagine it's thirty years since Apocalypse Now came out. I think it's the hard economic times that are leading to somewhat of an apocalyptic fever .... hard to believe the madness of war is continuing at the same time... and of course I blame the money being poured away in the desert sand as one reason we are in the mess economically that we are.....

Very well written Chris. As our economy goes down the pan the arms dealers are rubbing their hands in glee. They will have a great Christmas at our expense.

Every bang bang bang's just more money for them.

Nice one Chris. Flight of the Valkyries was my old regimental anthem. Many a time I've faced the world humming that tune to myself.
