Default The Queen and the Ghost on the Mersey (CTG)

The Queen and the Ghost on the Mersey

As the Queen sailed into the Mersey,
all her passengers were awed to see
    a ghostly statue: a long-haired lady
    tall as Liverpool's gleaming spires.

Consulted, a local seer read his tea
leaves, gazed into his crystal ball:
"She was no long-haired lady at all,"
he opined. Instead, he then predicted,

"The vision was a time slip that showed
us a glimpse of Liverpool of the future,
John Lennon depicted as Lord Liberty.
Imagine -- Peace and Love for All!"
