Default Old grafitti in St. James' Cemetery

Here's some pics I took a while back of some evocative old grafitti in St. James' Cemetery. You'll fnd it, and more, hidden among the ivy on the quarry wall right under the Oratory- turn sharp left after coming through the tunnel.

Makes you wonder about the people who stood here and scratched their names all those years ago...

It's more strange when we look at it and don't think Vandals. We think it's nice to see old grafitti !!!

I was in Ephesus, Turkey a couple of months back. Amazing place- and yes, there was indeed grafitti, in Greek, all over the place- thousands of years old!

Can`t really call initials and dates graffitti, how many names and dates were carved in old school desks and church pews. Could you call a hop scotch pitch marked out in a school playground graffiti ?
