They've left that facade up for years now. Notice the porta cabin type conservatory too.
Just spent the afternoon going through this thread (while I should be working!) Had a fab time brought back some wonderful memories -thank you to all who posted photos.
The refurb on the Central Library isn't half coming along with quite a bit more of Clayton Stack biting the dust than I though would be. I took a stroll along the flyover today after the match to get the best shots.

A somewhat hidden building. Clocktower House in Truemnan Court is situated on Trueman Street and viewed generally through and archway until you realise you can access it by a car park that is on the site of the old Whitbreads Brewery. In fact all that side of the road, and that opposite side now occupied by the Henry Cotton JMU building was part of Whitbreads and threlfalls before that so I expect this building was too.

Sudley House built for Nicholas Robinson, lord mayor of Liverpool 1928-29, around 1810.
It was then sold it to George Holt, member of the Holt family, of the Lambert and Holt firm who ran the Blue funnel line in Liverpool. He made many alterations to the house like reversing the entrance.
It is owned by Liverpool museums now
