Gerry Marsden (born Gerard Marsden, on September 24, 1942 in Liverpool, England) is an English musician and television personality, most known for being leader of the British Invasion band Gerry & the Pacemakers.
After the break-up, Gerry Marsden maintained a low-key career on television, and starred in the West End musical, Charlie Girl. He is most remembered for the songs, "I Like it" and his rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone", which has been adopted as an anthem of both Liverpool F.C. and Celtic F.C.. He sang the song on the Celtic Park turf when they hosted Liverpool, the team he idolised as a boy.
