    Joe,

I really don't know how you take such wonderfull photos, Liverpool looks brilliant when you take them, and whilst I know it is a brilliant place ( just a little bit biased ) it wouldn't be quite as nice if I took the photos.

    Many thanks,

    Tony

Small stand in the park I think it might have been a drinking fountain

The roof of the stand in the previous pic, lovely woodwork

    Another bridge over the lake

A piece of sculpture by the old wall, will vandals "leave" it alone

    Plenty of geese around

The view from the band stand of the Isla Gladstone Conservatory. This cost
?12,000 to build over a hundred years ago,?12 million to restore recently, not to keep plants in but as a function room

Excellent pics, GD. U don't half get round.

Wonder how long before the budget is cut and they've only got the CCTV. Then it'll end up getting wrecked

Time will tell Smurf. I hope that if the local folk see owt, they report it. Love to see it kept like that, been neglected for too long.

Very nice, Joe. I'm surprised. I didn't know Stanley Park was so beautiful. When I was living in Liverpool I lived most of my life in the south end (Greenbank, Mossley Hill, and Garston). . . though I did live for a while as a toddler on Anfield Road in a house divided into apartments that has since been demolished for the planned (will it ever happen??? ) LFC stadium. How much would the stadium impact the beauties of the park?

    Very good again Joe

I don't think it would have much of on impact on the park Chris. Although if they knockdown the old ground and build a sort of housing estate then am sure the park would get ruined in no time. The sad thing is that the park needs 24 hour security.

Nice pic's Joe,good colouring! Chris, the pitch would be at the Arkles lane end of the park, where the Vernon Sangster sportcentre was,and using some of the open fields down that end,so wouldn't affect the areas shown in Joe's pic's!(as far as I know?)
