I would love to see those pics of Salvor and Vigilant. Tried the above but failed miserably. Maybe I`m a bit `thick` when it comes to PC`s, but can someone please tell me how to navigate my way to `unseen Liverpool forum` and then to relevant page/ post ? PLEASE !

    Hi T/MAN,
here's a couple of Sirob's pic's, of ships waiting to be broken up,at Garston! The "Salvor",and the "Vigilant" are in amongst them! The mast of the "Vigilant" is now on the roundabout, next to the Liver buildings.

    Question

I haven`t been around for a while, but just came across your above post whilst browsing.

You quote the `Salvor` as a fireboat. I recall the `William Gregson` as the fireboat permanently berthed alongside St Georges landing stage for quite some time. Was the `Salvor` a fireboat pre `William Gregson` then ? I was of the impression that the `Salvor`
was of the same ilk as the `Vigilant` ie:- a sister salvage vessel. You`ve got me curious now. Anyone ???
