    Exclamation Steve Binns

    Steve Binns

This guy is blind and as I understand is also a local historian. Would like more info on him. As anyone ever met him?

I've been around the Town Hall and St George's hall on tours conducted by Steve Binns, he's a great guide. I think he's employed by Liverpool City Council, although I'm not 100% sure on this.

Met Steve today, doing a talk on Liverpool History / Old Swan, great historian.
    has a website now:

You can listen to his talks here.

Had a chat with him too, with a few more questions thrown in, knows an awful lot about Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

He came down Williamson's Tunnels a few years ago. He was amazed and his blindness didn't bother him one bit as he was feeling the texture of the walls all around him - something most people never do. Knew his history very well!

Heard Steve at St Georges Hall and on Radio Merseyside many a time. A brilliant knowledgeable man.
