    Old New Brighton ferry fully loaded ,taken off an old colour slide which has deteriated to a blue cast so I`ve made it black and white

    They do a return trip with those from Manchester to Liverpool and then bus back to Salford.

    Last time a checked the site I think it cost about ?32 for the trip.

    My missus with our first born in 1959 on the New Brighton ferry

    And 50 years later and I`m still taking her on cruises and it`s cheaper now,I think it was 9d return then but now it`s free

    people who go up on the buses return on the ferry and the ones that went up on ferry come back on the buses. thats why they cant come back on the ferry

    This is my fave pic i have taken of the ferry. it's a little odd, all those people taking a pic of me, taking a pic of them...

    if there are any members on there point yourself out

    (just learned after awhile of trying to upload it, some pics are too big and i need to shrink them a little , well thats what i think anyway lmao)

    Wife and I spent a few hours down on the Prom at New Brighton.
    Nice sunny & pleasant day.
    River seemed rather busy with ships.

    As a kid I was always amazed by the deck hands jumping on the gangway to help it come down onto the deck.
