Well Stella you told me something I never knew, that we went to number 1 in holland is news to me, ask Tony to get in touch with me on Facebook, I'm on under both my names, it would be good to talk to him again.

anyone remember what the Red Pepper club was called before it changed its name. there was another club just opposite the bus stops by Everard Library as well near Walton trades club.

edit, think the Red Pepper was called the El Torro.

This is really yesteryear! My Grandma, a Garston girl, was a club singer and dancer around 1915 in a 'honkey tonk'. (Her dad worked next door to The George Hotel on St.Mary's Road.) Any ideas as to where that could be, or are there just to many to mention...

There was a Honky Tonk on Scotland Road. Aka Dolly Hickies and The Westmoreland.

Hi Waterways! I am familiar with the George Hotel. Would the George be considered a Honky Tonk? I was picturing something more dance - oriented... What are your thoughts?

The George is not tonky tonk- just a pub. Although I'm sure it's had its nights.
