There is a street off High Park St - opposite the 'Welsh' streets - called Vronhill Street, where'd that name come from?

    Dave.

Probably named for me Dave, Veronica's Hill, We used to call it Vronhilly.

I found this whilst looking though:

Could it be that we were a very hilly area?

Sorry Roni, I should have realised that. Better than calling it Jimmyhill St.

The only hill we had was the gentle one from Prinny to Admiral St.

All the other 'hill' streets (Grins, Fern, and Pim) give you alternative hits when entered in Google, but not 'Vron'.

In fact I can't think of a 'proper' word that kicks off with 'vr'.

Dave[/QUOTI think I remember our street had a good old slope to it, Micawber St. So, the rest of the Dickens character streets must have too. Not Weller, that ran through them.

All I could find in the dictionary was 'Vroni K?nig-Salmi' Told you it was for me, now it contains my nickname Roni too,

In Skelmersdale, each georgraphical region seems to have estates beginning with the same letter. Probably helps the local postmen out a bit.

I am guessing Everton had an Australian grouping-I found Adelaide, but not Melbourne. Are there more?

Hmmm. What no streets to commemorate musicians?!

    T. wyford Ave
    J. ersey Ave
    O. verton Ave
    N. ewlyn Ave
    E. nstone Ave
    S. tanton Ave

Named after a local who owned the land and ran the Liverpool arms I believe.
