Duke Ellington in Liverpool, 1933

Hello,
I am researching Duke Ellington's 1933 tour of the UK. He performed with his orchestra at the Liverpool Empire and also played for a dance at the Grafton Rooms. I have contemporary newspaper accounts, but I would be interested in any personal memories or remininscences of these performances.
