Of course I recognise it now...cheers.
I think they look more impressive from the ground though in Hannover street...makes you feel kind of small.

That's the same reason I took the pics, its a surreal experience walking in that part of town.

    Kev
In pic 2 and the last pic (the same crane I think) I notice both the Canadian Flag and the French Flag fly on it.
Do you know the reason for that ?
    Just curious

In the last couple of weeks, one of the big white cranes from Paradise Street was taken out - it was roughly where the old bus station/car park was; and another one has gone up, near Cesar Pelli's tower. By the look of it I don't think it'll be there for long though, its base isn't buried in the ground like the rest.

Can't remember when the one at St Pauls went, but not seen the mobile one they had lately either.

Grafton Street/Horsfall Street...Tower Crane removed (site is almost finished).

University Art and Design building (rear of Catholic Cathedral), has another Tower Crane (making a total of two, now)

    Default From New Ferry.

    29 June 2007.

From New Ferry it's clear to see that nothing of any height has yet been built.
In fact (in this shot) the only tall buildings are structures from the 1960s.
(Apart from the Law Courts and the Municipal's tower.)

A crane was being erected at the New Liverpool Life Museum site, this morning.

...and one of the white cranes has been removed from Paradise Street, roughly where the Moat House Hotel used to be. I can't see the other ones in the same area (two of them left) being around for much longer.

That's a funny one-it looks like the cranes are gossiping to each other like old women! .

A red tower crane was erected on Saturday at West Derby St/Crown St. The site used to be a car-park.
