Default Liverpool Marina Brunswick Dock Area

I had a nice stroll along here today, it wasn't planned. We were attending a kids party at Yellow Sub and I managed to escape for some fresh air.

Lucky I did as I spotted loads of interesting stuff!

The marina's nice when the suns out and the water reflects.

My camera gets a bad white flare If I photogaph any boat pics though If It's a white boat.

    Nice photos Kev.

What a coincidence. I was out snapping round there today as well. Here are a few of them. Not really Brunswick Dock I know but close.

where is the water coming from?

The entrance to the Brunswick marina

The Cocklehole at low water. This was once filled with small fishing boats as they could come and go with the tides.

Swans feeding on grass between the concrete blocks which make up the marina slipway
All taken on a fishing session at Mariners Wharf on friday.

P.S. I never caught any fish.

The most likly thing is that your auto is being cheated.
When taking this picture point the camera at the water and then flip up to the scene. This allows the camera to adjust. It only takes a second.
What is happening is that your auto settings are being fooled by the reflect (twice ) from the water.
You will find this also happens if you take a picture of a ship in the river.

Such great pics! Thanks to all. It's facinating for me to see the waterfront as it is now, some of those area's were never available to those that never worked in the docks and harbour area's in the past. It's good to see them now so easily accesible, and the Marina is looking great! Cheers to All

The Marina Bar is not as good as it used to be. It used to have carpets, a nice comfortable seating layout and a fireplace.

Now its got wooden floor tiles and a choice of various uncomfortable seating options. The tables are either up to your chin or down by your ankles.
The drinks prices are also higher than average.

The only good thing inside is that the settee's they have are so low down and soft that you're bound to find a couple of quid down the sides to make up for the high prices. (I once found 4x ?1 coins in one settee)

Its okay if you just want a quiet drink and don't want to hear swearing and it is quite nice to sit outside by the boats in the summer.
