It became unfamilair when they closed down the docks...now its just commerce... if yer want to blame someone, blame council and those who want to change our way of life.

Happen the change is for the worse rather than the good, too many buildings being erected and loads not being filled.

    Silly ain't it.

Got to admit it, I love what's happening. The City seems so much more alive. It's a bustling metropolis now, rather than a run down city. Yes, the council are making some monumental blunders, but all in all, a vast improvement.

Yes, between the incompetence there is some good to be seen. The potential is enormous, I doubt it will be realised as they don't see it.

I would rather have a new empty nice block than a scruffy waste site. They will be filled eventually adding to the vibrancy.

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
tourist. Would we visit a modernised Venice of filled in
canals to view its modern museum describing
    how it once was?

Reckon so. Just a shame they let so much slip past. I hate the vast empty spaces. Since I've been on this site, i'm seeing how much we lost. The Seamans Mission and the Custom House was criminal. Spose there has to be a few casualties though. No matter what the council do, can't please all the people all the time.

    Great picture!

Reminds me of my old life and the trips I used to take to Crosby a couple of years ago.

One of the worst roads to drive along though , as it's always busy and full of cones!

I love driving down there. Probably the best panorama in the country. It's a right pain though if you're walking down there. Love the way you hear all the different languages down there. It's amazing the amount of tourists that come here. I think that there is only Chester that has the numbers that we get.
