    Default Tarleton street, city centre

I only noticed ths building today and I've not got a photo, but does anyone know anything about the building that now houses 'Scotts', in Tarleton Street. It looks like a 30's Art Deco picture house in beige brick with a blue zig-zag tile pattern all the way around and above a window on the front is a freize depicting a castle of some sort.
Does anyone know what it was?

It was the Conway Castle public house and a picture of the castle still adorns the wall. It might be in the art deco thread but can't remember, but it has been on the guess the location thread.

Remember it well. As a young kid I'd go there with a bunch of mates to watch serials and cartoons. Always a bunch of us - safety in numbers against the predatory pedo's that frequented the place. In those days we found them funny - ignorance is bliss.
