    Brother G.D, you have stripped away 50 years and taken me back to the age of 10. My old man ( a tradesman decorator of the old school) tried his hand at self employment for a few years, and, needing storage for his ladders and materials, rented one of those very garages (old stables?) in Back Percy St., which you captured in your most excellent posting.I am still working my way through the copious collection of photographs on Yo! and I would like to add my applause to the rest for your endeavours. Bravo, G.D, bravo.

    We used to play over that wall Joe, into the 'giants graveyard' as we christened it and the rectangle of grass we called 'Little Wembley'. Isn't it Mill Lane though? Look at all those ribbed bollards in one place.

    Thanks Ged,should have gone to Specsavers. Tried to even it up as theres only 6 Mill Streets to 18 Mill Lanes in my directory.
