... and the original one was there for years with no bother !
I always thought the newer one looked a bit flimsy .. these high-falutin' designs can't stand the test of time !

Well, as long as the Tuebrook round-a-bout doesn't drift into the sunset. I have many fond memories of seeing who could get around it (Tuebrook to Mill Bank) the fastest. My own personal best was pushing 85mph. Not a heck of a lot of time to be readin' ya speedo.

Liverpool's ferries across the Mersey could be sailing from the Isle of Man terminal following the sinking of a landing terminal.

Operator Merseytravel is in talks with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company to share its terminal in Liverpool.

Mersey Ferries' cross-river services will be suspended over the weekend, although cruise services will operate between Seacombe and Woodside.

It is hoped services will resume in the early part of next week.

"We remain in close discussion with Mersey Docks and Harbour Company and the Isle of Man Steam Packing Company about shared use of the Isle of Man terminal," said Councillor Mark Dowd, chairman of Merseytravel.

"The safety of passengers must come first, so we have had to suspend Mersey Ferries' services to Liverpool again this weekend," he added.

"The normal cruise service will be running on the river from Seacombe and Woodside, but will not call at the Pier Head." Source

The landing stage was in three basic parts. Now that two parts have sunk the question has to be asked how long will the final part last?

I know this isn't really the place for this, but I thought you's like it.
