Very Scandinavian/Dutch looking.
Nice photo, Joe. Here's my pic of the same, taken when I was in Liverpool in May 2007.

Per Joseph Sharples in the Pevsner Architectural Guides series on Liverpool, p. 154, the building is the former Venice Chambers built in 1882 by Edmund Kirby, with architectural details mimicking the Doge's Palace in Venice.
Hello guys , where was this building in Lord Street? As the more I get into this site , the more I realise that my memory of Liverpool is getting less and less, maybe I have been away far too long. I will be over in June for 10 /12 weeks so I will be in Liverpool a lot more , hopefully to catch a few concerts, and maybe meet up with a few of the guys who were in bands when I was in in the 60s I have so much to catch up on(been in Aus far to long)
Cheers Keith ( just turned 67) I am 3 months older than Paul Mcartney!!
