Buildings poll.

This is just an idea I had for a new thread after so much vitriol shown to the new museum lately on here. A little bit of fun.

In this order what are:

Your top 5 favourite Liverpool buildings of all time.

Your top 5 worst Liverpool buildings of all time.

Your top 5 favourite buildings built since say 1960.

Your top 5 worst buildings built since say 1960.

Your top 5 lost buildings of all time.


I'm not even sure I know all my own yet. I can think of a couple of 70s ones that regularly come in for some stick.

I was thinking of 10 but 5 makes you work a little harder to whittle it down to the REAL deal ha ha.

Could u create a separate thread for each type. Will be a bit easier knowing which building comes under which category then :)

Whatever you think, just thought you could say my top 5 are blah blah blah - bottom 5 are blah blah blah, top 5 since 1960 are blah blah blah - sounds like too much hard work this ha ha.

Why not jus do a poll on "Should the museum have blighted the waterfront".

Or Is the New Museum the ugliest building in Liverpool ?

2 Port of Liverpool Building

3 Tobacco Warehouse

4 Liverpool Cathedral

5 The old Lord Street Arcade

Had a job picking 5 as there are so many

The best since 1960 was easy, I can only think of one, The "The Vatican" (The vat and customs building on the river front)

The Tower
St Georges Hall
Town Hall
Liver Building

A building I didn't like was the old Eye Hospital, that was a right site for sore eyes :eek:
