Places to live

Hi, My husband has been offered a job in the Kirkdale area so we will be reloacting very soon and was wondering what is the nice areas to live around there. Have only been to Liverpool once but loved it so looking forward to moving there. Any ideas on rent in the area and what the schools are like? We are looking for at least a 2 bed house pref with a small garden. Only problem is that my husband has a rubbish credit history. Is this usually a problem with letting agents in the area? Any help or advise you can give would be great.
