Yes, the 500 it was. ;)
So it did exist?
Dead arm for me then!! I thought it was the 99!
Cheers Ged:shock:
Was 500 but i thought that went from speke to lime st........................... it deffo went along mather avenue
.....and Park Road.
Speke to Kirkby. It stopped at the main districts only. Garston, Aigburth, Dingle, Lewis', etc. It also appeared to always be braking the speed limit. It didn't 'alf go.
These days, if a rail link is taken into John Lennon airport, Merseyrail would cover that route and do it faster.
I occasionally got the 500 to Fords in the early 70s, Walton to Speke
I always loved getting the 500 !, it felt great you got into "Town" much quicker....I thought the 544 was the bus that went to Kirkby, we got it to go to my Nans !
Yes, the 544 went to Northwood, terminating at Roughwood Drive.
I remember the 510, up and down Prescot Rd.
Couldn't get on it with a kids bus pass though :gnasher:
