Hello to all,
I am looking for any photographs of a shop called Wilkins jewellers, which was situated in Parker street during the late 60's, early 70's.
My mum used to work there, but no one seems to have any pictures of it.
We think that Ernest Jones jewellers are now in the same shop where Wilkins once was.
If anyone can shed any light on this I would be most grateful.

have you tried looking on Ged's site,"Inacityliving"? There's loads of pic's there,including the city centre, so you might be lucky!:nod:
Thanks Steve. I have loads of books showing that Street and around that way and as i've only put a scattering of previously published pics up on the site there's a good chance I might have one in a book that's not on the site so i'll have a look tonight.
No sign of any photos of the Wilkins shop on your website pictures so far, but I will keep looking !
I have now come across a picture showing part of Wilkins on Parker Street,but a tram is in the way !!!!
Still looking for a nice picure of the whole shopfront....

Finally found the picture of the shop - amazing ! Must have been looking for a picture of the shop for over 10 years now...
