Great info Martin, thanks for posting it :PDT11
According to the book: A Pictorial History of Old Swan and Tuebrook by Colin Gould.
Liverpool Corporation's Old Swan Stables in Broadgreen Road became surplus to requirements on the demise of the horse drawn trams and, in 1906 part of the stables was demolished for the building of Old Swan Technical College.
During the 1920's the stables housed many of the Corporation's bus fleet, some of which can be seen in the photograph taken in about 1926.
The depot was eventually handed over to the Education Comittee in 1938 for an extension of Old Swan Technical College. :034:
Hope this answers the question, what was there before the College.
Martin. :)
Well found Mart.
I don't know I'm afraid.
If there was any workmen who had an interest, maybe...
if not, it will have gone with all the dust and bricks :PDT_Xtremez_12:

The last 4 around Everton and Myrtle street are very atmospheric too.
It's taken many trips to the LRO and with thanks to individual contributors too, the 6000th pic has just been uploaded to my site today including these.
