The Mersey Tunnel Tour
It was interesting.
Plenty walking.
Me,Ted and my nephew Huseyin attended.
I call this is a Educational Tour.
?5 per person.
Tour is with max 14 people and guided.

You are allowed to take photos under tunnel as well but my photos were rubbish..It was too dark and my dslr didn't work properly.
Tour took around 2 hours. including 20 minutes video show at start of tour.

me and my mums uncle want to do this tour, but i know that he will never be able to manage walking up and down all those steps.
a real shame, but one day i'll do it (i hope) another fear to deal with, first the heights with the cathedral tower and soon the cramped enclosed spaces of the tunnels.

I seem to remember either reading or hearing of a story about a vehicle (Morris pickup comes to mind) that ran under the tunnel for use by maintenance gangs, and that in later years when a (gas?) pipe was run through, the suspension on this vehicle was jacked up to straddle it.
Or was it in one of my dreams.
