Yes, just as a remember it. An underused and un-needed city centre park. Not even a park, just grassland but not for young kids to play footy, more just for office workers to sit now and again and eat their sarnies. Couple this with the city's biggest car parking area which was meant as a stopgap situation after the bomb sites from the war and you can see how what's been done is much better for the city's economy, well being and general prosperity.
.. and when you look back at old pics there was nothing patriculary attractive in Paradise street. That bus terminus was ugly, as was the hotel which looks like a 1970s apartment block in Torremolinos ! :)
I don't think we've lost anything there.
