There was a character called 'Whacker' who would hang around the shops facing the Cottage Homes, he collected keys,any keys,he wore an olive green tweed suit and jesus sandals with white socks. He would walk around jangling this huge set of keys and us kids would give him old keys which he would dutifully put on his keyring, and when he got a new key he would rattle them and shout, WHACKER.
