And the back view with St Lukes framed
:handclap: Great pics again GD :handclap:
This building on the corner of Nelson St was once the shop I bought my camping gear from, then it was taken over by Euroleasure but I thinks it`s
empty now. The date stone gives the wrong year it was built as it was much
earlier. Chambre Hardman took a photo of it in 1976 and in the catalogue it says it was built 1784
I went for an interview there GD when it was Europleasure (I think it was called) approx 1978.
Great pics 'gregs dad'.:PDT_Piratz_26::) I think the arch is one of the most impressive landmarks in the city, superb!
I don't know how I missed this.
The 1887 date refers to when Langdon's took it over.
It had been built about 1858, and looked pretty much as it does now.
An extension was built behind in the 1930s which covered the site of the 'Scandinavian Hotel'.
