Police Stations/Bridewells of Liverpool
I thought this would be a really interesting thread as the bridewells especially interest me.
Hat's off to Greg's Dad who highlighted the bridewell on Cheapside.
I took some pictures myself today.

Former Police Station, Lawrence Road.
February 2007.
I think it's now called 'Peel House'.

Old Wavertree Police Station
Originally built by Lancashire County Council, cf also the ones in Garston and Lark Lane.
Rose Hill Police Station.
From "Arab: A Liverpool Street Kid Remembers" (1971) by Andie Clark ("The Autobiography of an Early Century Street Arab").
One of the first Liverpool books I bought, and still one of my favourites.
It's long since been out of print, but should still be available in libraries.

This little patch of blue we prisoners call the drainpipes.
With apologies to dear Oscar.
This is the hidden side of Cheapside Bridewell.
