Ok guys&gals where was the stone boat? c/o LRO....
Stanhope St area.. Gore St I think.
I'm told its the Mill St area? I know it was everton road area as I played there once in a while?
I haven't got a clue too be honest George..
I'd seen the photo before and am taking the info from the Dingle tabs...........
from >> Here..
Myrtle gardens. :)
Tis not the everton road park, although it had a similair stone boat and cobbled hill.
Is that a nissan hut or a railway arch filled in that you can see ?
Nissan Hut,Joey.

It rained that day....yer always had to wear yer wellies when it rained...you got yer wellies on...yes Ma.
Boy...'elf and safety wouldn't like that kid's playground now....:PDT_Xtremez_42:
The underground...well St Johns Lane mens bogs...rather aptlly named don't ya think? :)
Always wondered what those toilets looked like
Not according to the photie I have of the St Johns ladies bogs. :)Quote:
We have 2 or 3 stalls in ours!!
Anyway we're in and out because there's some shady geezers hanging around. :ninja:
There are always queues for the ladies :( I don't know why they don't provide twice more than what the men have. It makes sense.
Even in St John's Market where there are quite a few in the ladies block, - there is still always a long queue - most times trailing outside of the entrance to the ladies.
It's murder if you go somewhere like the theatre or a coach trip 'comfort stop' -- the queues are horrendous. I never bother when I go to the theatre as the waiting in the interval is just too long.
I get the feeling women pass more than men? hence the queue. :)
Derby Square for men...in a roundabout way. :)
'orrible looking places
They were,Lindy but have been filled in many moons ago....Queen Viccy sits on top now. :)
Brother G.P, while I have no desire to contradict a senior member of the community, I must question the veracity of your statement re the location of this pseudo ship.As a child, Myrtle Gardens was a second home to me, and, while it is possible that I may have mis-remembered such a fun place to play, nothing about the scene looks kosher to me,least of all, the mock Tudor cladding on view.
Perhaps this is a case for Brother Ged?.
You're right old fella, this indeed was Gore Street area as we can see the mock tudor similair to that of the original pic here......

In fact I'd go as far as to say it was Upper Harrington St, a side road of Gore St.
