It's my second name and It's actually spelled right!:PDT_Aliboronz_24: :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Too many people spell It with an A(Like Dave has In his link) which isn't correct.:protest:
The Winslow for the Blues and Shanks Bar for the Reds.
The recently renovated Salisbury on Lawrence Road In Wavertree.
Was closed for a while then reopened and looks nicer more red and cream.
I might redo this photo though, but It looks good In Meduim size.

The Swan in Fleet Street does a nice pint and is very friendly too.
Thanks Ged for the photo of Effin' Nelly's. I didn't realise it was the Tatlock. Gone now I suppose?
I was looking at a picture of The Victoria in Great Howard St further back - it was usually called The Irish House. Cracking pint and the cleanest glasses I've ever seen in a pub. It was great for the 2-10 shift in Tates, we usually had our quota in by about nine and could leave someone to clock us out then sneak out the gate and head down there. The Fly House was too close but okay on nights when there was no foremen round.
Yeah mate!!
It was called "The Tatlock", and it was off Sylvester Street, and on the corner of Hornby Walk and Titchfield Street I think!! My Mar `n` Dar used to go there I think!! I used to rob the Untied Molases factory next door for the treacle when I was a kid!!! :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Yes mate!! I posted a reply to some mush about it!! About how I used to rob the United Molases factory next door for treacle, (or anything else we could get our hands on) !!!! :PDT_Aliboronz_24: Do you remember it?? I think the pub was so-called because of a previous manageress, who wouldnt let people swear in there or something!?? I grew up round that area man!! Ya photos were a buzz lad!! Cheers!! :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Masons, Old Swan
Not too far from Liverpool is Haskayne is West Lancs. The Ship Inn is great for home cooked food and next to the canal. Also a small play area for kids too so a good family day out.

Had a little mooch down by the streets at the back of Berry Street and off Hardman Street. I knew of the Pilgrim pub but didn't know of the Grapes on Knight Street.
Nice pics Ged. The Grapes went all psychedelic for a time and was painted mad colours inside, luckily its returned to being a traditional boozer now.
Heard arty like people go to the Grapes down there.
Could make a good night pic too If you take a close up pic of It.
This is deffo an arty studenty type.
What makes a good pub? Is it the beer, the building, the customers ? the history? or a mix of all ? Me? I like good beer, pleasant company, friendly helpful staff, maybe a good debate or argument, ( as long as it does not get out of hand?) I have probably had a pint in most of the pubs around the city and districts, there are still some gems still out there!!:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Like Kev, I like that last one from the tower.
the boundary pub was my first port of call on my way into town onsaturday nights in the 70s. My pals and I would all meet in there and then catch a bus tothe Empire corner of Wood Street and Hanover, then walk over to the post office in School Lane, the Triton in Paradise Street, the Carnarvon Castle around Williamson Square, the White Star in Temple Street, the Grapes in Matthew Street and shoot back up to the Empire where we could get served out of hours for the extra pint. Good old days.:PDT11
Not sure if The Grove, Plimsoll St, Edge Hill is still standing. Photo taken a few years ago. Whole area scheduled for demolition under the edge Lane improvement scheme
Some more Old Swan pubs
One of the rare original pubs in the L17 area. There are only 3 with Lark Lane having the other two.

and the pub sign for Max
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...o/IMG_0308.jpg
Thought of Maxie yesterday when I saw this pub sign. This whole estate on Shard close and Hambledon Close is awaiting demolition.
Question for you ale buffs: Which pub has a sign up outside saying our ale is out of this world - with some 'out of this world creatures painted on it'
I'll post it up next.
(I was taking a pic of the Hartley's Jam factory area big chimney to post on where is this located thread but a car sped past with a gang of nossers shouting kn0b head and I fell of my bollard.)
