I'm not sure George , i never went in any of the pubs there , i was too young , they were old peoples pubs , i think the little off licence was in Devonshire place , it could well have been called by a different name . I went to St Silas primary, which was the school "Ringo" went to years earlier ! my headmaster was Mr Lancely and the best teacher had to be Miss McKnutt !, then on to Liverpool Girls College in Grove Street where the headmisstress was Miss Cadman Smith.
