the festival officially starts on Monday so they should all be in situ by then.
No japanese flag on the anti racism yellow lamb banana, left out for a reason or is it on the other side, just an observation nothing more, I know it's sculpted by a japanese artist, wonder if we'd be adoring this thing if it had been sculpted by ringo , I can't get my head around the whole concept other than someone has sold us something that doesn't relate to the city at all in a specific way, i know its to do with genetic modification etc.... whats that got to do with liverpool
lol, almost every city in the world has an import station for lambs and bananas, wonder what the cost of these are, I would of thought Liverpool would have been pushing images/ statues/ works and momentos of its famous sons and daughters in this celebration year that is half gone already to the rest of the world
Just for you Zaps :unibrow:
Saw these in Bold Street today. Superlambambinos

A BUSINESS-INSPIRED Superlambanana will soon take its place on Liverpool’s Old Hall Street.
This colourful sculpture has been designed by Year 10 students from Savio High School.
As a business and enterprise college, Alliance and Leicester asked the pupils to design one of their two commissioned figurines.
Students were asked what business means to them, and, working with artist Kerry Hunt , came up with the design.
Given its future position at the heart of the business district, Year 7 pupils decided on gold coins for eyes and two contrasting skylines.
The pupils involved were Antonia Johnson, Emily Rebic, Ryan Fer- guson, Katy Tyson, Sam Briscoe, Jamie Clarkson, Lynsey O'Rourke and Sarah Humphray.
DON’T miss Monday’s Daily Post for a Go Superlambananas special.

A BAA Baa Braille Sheep has set up home at Lime Street Station as 120 Superlambananas prepare to appear in the city.
The sheep, designed by Polish artist Jola Kurzeja-Ryan and visually-impaired Merseyside youngsters, is one of 30 of the models created with help from the community.
The customised copies of the Liverpool statue, created for the Culture Company-commissioned Go Superlambananas project, will appear on Monday.
