The original of this and its companion, the Architect, are going in the People's City gallery in the new Pier Head museum. They were in the Museum of Liverpool life at Mann Island in the past.
Between those times it was a branch of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Bank, then Bank of Liverpool, then Martins Bank for very many years before closure following the latter's takeover by Barclays and disposal of the site to Co-op.
Great photo of these wonderful doors, thanks Gregs Dad for sharing it.

right, got there in the end.
people with more advanced cameras should be able to get better pics as the statues are in quite a dull part of the station. Only found out about these as someone had left an Echo in the clinic when me and hubby went this afternoon.
they are by platforms 7 and 8

ooh dear no. I'm meeting my Nan in town tomoz but I don't think I'll be rushing to photograph this.
does it have name...other than Ged's Bed
When they were working on that bit of the Pier Head,I got talking to one of the security guards, who said that this piece of art ("Mersey Wave" by Arthur Dooley ???? but, I might be dead wrong here!) was dumped in a skip, till one of his mates pointed out it's origin/purpose! I'm sure this was previously positioned, somewhere by the Atlantic tower hotel.
I hope he didn't get paid for it. It's quite a hazard as I banged my head on it getting in.

No Ringo has still lost his head......
On one advert he is applauding his name change to Ringo Starr saying he wouldn't have made it as Richard Starkey and then in the next advert he's saying 'don't call me by my stage name'....
Still, I suppose you have to pander to whose handing you the cheque
