Yes, it's almost opposite Cheadle Avenue, but I don't know where the boundary is for Stanley.

This is the rather neat and classy logo for Liverpool Entente Cordiale Tours who will be taking visitors and Scousers on some neat walking tours of Liverpool in July and August. The tours are offered in English and French and, thus, naturellement, Pierre Liver Bird's Gallic beret, oui, oui? Is that some of zee frog's legs I see in Pierre's mouth!!!???? :PDT_Xtremez_42:
Chris
Yep, I am the proud owner of my very own liver bird. Having some leaflets and business cards printed and was persuaded also to fork out for a logo which I now own and can use on all my promotional stuff. Glad you like it - makes it worth splashing out.
Afraid just plain old lava in his mouth but frogs legs would have been a good idea. Although might have been boycotted by vegetarians!

Spotted on Barclays bank, West Derby
Nice, Taffy! :handclap:
Chris
Found this one on the side of Flanagans Apple in mathew street.
On Renshaw St, Liverpool. Building now called Grand Central with a variety of commercial uses.

Appropriately to be found on the Royal Liver Building.
Headless Liverbird, the only one in Liverpool?

Where's that one to be found Kev?
Julie
On the side of the old Chatsworth Board School, by Tunnel Road Edge Hill.
Many thanks for the info Kev.
Julie
This one once adorned the Walker Art Gallery, now restored and safely preserved in the Liverpool Conservation Centre, Whitechapel.
This one Taff?

Never knew that, cheers for the info.
Thanks again Taffy. I wonder what they'll do with the copy when they've completed the restoration? Would look great in my back garden!:PDT11
There are 4 birds visible at the junction of Ullet Road/Aigburth Drive. Two on the shields of the gold soldiers on the Lodge (which has recently been refurbished, and I think extended aswell). There are two birds on the Sefton Park entrance gate but one has had its' neck broken.
One of the gold soldiers.

This pic shows what the neck, of the above bird, should look like.

Hi Folks
Wonderful photographs and information here, everybody! :handclap:
Taffy and Kev, in regard to the statue with Liver Bird on the top of the Walker Art Gallery the eroded original of which you, Taff, showed is now in the Liverpool Conservation Centre, there is a similar situation here in Baltimore in regard to the Battle Monument built 1815-1822, commemorating the British attack of 1814 and the American dead in the battle. I was part of an effort to restore the monument but the eroded original is still there. I was told though by one of the conservators that the original should be in a museum and that it is time to put up a replica. Below is a nineteenth century view of the monument. A recent view shows some of the damage (beaks of griffons missing, cracks etc.)
All the best
Chris

That's a nice one, Kev. I had not seen it before. Excellent work! :handclap:

Not sure how old this Garston lampost is but it has a nice Liverbird. Sited at junction of Island Rd and Clarendon Rd.
On Water St Frontage. Interesting juxtaposition of the Liverbird and the grasshopper. The latter being the symbol of Martins Bank
Hi Taffy
That's the former Martin's bank - it's got their symbol of a grasshopper on it too. The whole building is looking good after its recent clean.
Great minds think alike (or fools seldom differ:)
"Yes I know. Just added an edit about the grasshopper as you were writing your message !!"
