The answer is staring us in the face! It's number 85 as it says over the door of the bakery :)
Is it still a bakery. My aunt lived in Sutton St. almost opposite all her life and went there for her bread almost every day. :037:

No I'm not a big fan of tower blocks.
I think this is the right thread to post this. Nice shot from Otterspool Prom:

Hi Butcher and a warm welcome :PDT11. Beautiful pic.
It looks like Green lane style buildings.
A friend on another forum posted this item about a marriage between Guinness and Marmite brought about through Unilever which evoked memories for me of Lever Brothers, Port Sunlight, and Pears Soap. . .
I can hear the bellies growling from here.....

Food Giant Unilever Takes Marmite Into Uncharted Territory

I admit an almost unhealthy love of both Guinness beer and Marmite yeast spread. I know it's probably the result of a horrible genetic mutation, but humour me anyway. The drunkards at Guinness have teamed up with the industrial food elves at Unilever to brew up a memorable batch of limited edition Guinness Marmite, featuring 30% Guinness yeast extract. The result is apparently less salty than Marmite and less hangovery than gallons of grog. Only 300,000 limited edition jars will be foisted on an unsuspecting British public sold at around £2.49 each. Alas, it's alcohol free. I look forward to the eventual release of Heinz Baked Bean Marmite with giddy anticipation.

I replied:
This unlikely (or likely!) combination is made even more interesting to me because "Unilever" has evolved from Liver Brothers and Lord Leverhulme, who was responsible for the planned village of Port Sunlight on the Mersey near Liverpool at the time of the Whitechapel murders and Pears Soap and the image of "Bubbles" another period connection, painted by Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais in 1886:

Millais' classic painting is now at Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight.

I thought this was an interesting picture taken in Otterspool,it was surreal the way the young lad was walking alongside the boat just looking at it.
I can't say I did Phredd,it was a great sight wasn't it?
