Is there an Everyman pub or did I dream it?
Printable View
They're not pulling it down Roni, by biting the dust, gd means closing as a pub. There is an everyman bar and bistro.
I remember that pub brewing the beer in the front window Ged
Yes, it was called The Liverpool Brewery Company when it did that. it's also been Trader Jacks when we went there in the 80s. :PDT11
Trader Jacks. We used it as a meeting place for lads nights out in town. Wonder where it got that name from?
And the Lemon Lounge upstairs? ;)
Well deary. I'm not too sure about that ;)
Probably as much Memory Lane as Information Highway...

Oh good. Some enterprising person should snap this up and make it work.
I went to the Everyman Bistro several times last time I was home, loved the veggie food. I remember going to the bar with some people I met but a Liverpool friend is telling me there is no bar so I was checking.
I came to Liverpool at least once a year when my father and Aunt Alice were around.

Teddy, I assumed you've tried www.scottiepress.org
If you use the search facility on here, top right of the home page, there are lots of Scottie Road threads.
I know from another member here who has links with Kew Street that old pics are hard to find.

For Teddy, not sure how this is on the pubs thread though but plenty of pubs one time on Scottie.
A quick google of Thomson Street, Liverpool 6 should provide you with a clue as to why this is called the Pipeline club and whose Social Club it once was.

I think Joe was suggesting from its next door neighbour also pictured.
Yes it is C Chris, The Tower name most probably came from the old water tower in Liscard only a few hundred yards from here see pics below

Looks like someone is after the lead lightning conductor
It doesn`t lend itself to photos as it is surrounded by houses with just a 6 foot gap between
.
when I was a kid, the Landlord of the Winslow Hotel in Goodison Road was Norman Greenhalgh, he used to play for Everton, His son was David.
Think he took over the Bromborough Hotel, later.
Remember riding our bikes around the snooker tables upstairs! [circa 1956?]
Also nice memories of the Clock in Richmond Row, I worked in Whitneys, the Ford Garage in Scotland Road, with Billy Roberts, his Mum and Dad had the Clock.
Lunchtime at Whitneys consisted of chips from the chippy and a visit to the Ship? next door to the garage! [late 60`s]
For you then duffer.
Originally a Welsh methodist chapel, it became the Derby Cinema then a car showroom before becoming Coynes funeral parlour and latterly a fireworks wholesalers.

Hi Jo,
I've got a photo of my great aunts (Mary and Rose McDaniel) by the bar in the Britannia, 13 Scotland Road. Mary was the landlady there in the 50s. Tried to upload the jpg to this post but I get a red exclamation mark symbol. Must be doing something wrong...
Managed to save this link, which seems to work if you copy and paste it into your browser:
