Thanks folks.
Snappel, I've been up there a few times at night and the view is amazing. If the weather's OK, I'll take a few night snaps next Monday or Tuesday.

There used to be an orb on top of that tower, wonder where it went. :037:
Max, I'm talking about a long time ago, I used to go to school next door. It was definitely there when I left in 1954. It was a large orb with a spike sticking out of the top. I bet Jona knows about it. :037:
I found some pics of it.

:037:
It had the top part of the tower and the bells removed because they were unsafe.
The only good thing I can think of about being ancient like me is that I have lived through what younger people can only read about. :037:
Collapsed maybe? Dunno never noticed It ever.

Very nice Max :handclap:
Great photograph, Max! I did an acrylic painting for my parents' living room wall of a sunset from Otterspool based on a slide that I took in the mid-Sixties. The view was much like you show except that the tide was out and you had the reflection of the sun on the mud!
Chris

Cracking photos folks. Just catching up with them all:PDT_Piratz_26:
I always hated that cat but it's gained some respect now I've found out it's by a famous graffiti artist called Banksy. There's a piece here...http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/a...art/article.do...about a door he did some graffiti on in Liverpool which thieves were stopped from taking.
Here's a link to the Berry Street graffiti...

This thread contains info about Banksy. :)
In my defense, I am a Newbie and there's far too much to catch up on on the forum:202 (1): :retard:
