Kev, will u lock this thread. It's going nowhere and is getting beyond pathetic
There's a bit of dispute over Koreans nuclear test. The signature of the device is very different to a nuclear expolsion. The clever money is on it being a massive conventional device. This brinkmanship has been used in the past.
The three biggest effects of nuclear explosions/ accidents have proved localised. Hiroshima and Nagasaki these were inhabited straight away, mainly through ignorance, and Chernobyl. Chernobyl is proving that nature can clean up an area pretty fast. It is still hazardous to humans, but the wildlife is showing a remarkable recovery.
Slightly different victims, but, apparently,Liverpool is one of,if not the worst place in the country, for dog fighting! Draw your own conclusions!:disgust:
You're right regarding the contradiction by foxhunters - but the ironic thing is an extremely high number of foxes are killed by vehicles...It has nothing to do with pest control. There are many rural people who abhor foxhunting. It is a complete myth to suggest it is a 'town v country' thing. This is a smokescreen for a desperate group who are scraping the barrel.
Ah yes Ged, the unseated jockey argument...It is a horses instinct to run - it could be argued that they have had it driven into them. I tend to look at the fact that when you travel through the countryside, how many horses do you see 'running?' None whatsoever...They have been driven to it by us humans in the name of warfare and so-called sport. Admittedly, I'm sure the majority of people like your good self who watch and bet on horse racing don't want to see the animal dead unlike foxhunting.
As this thread is about fox-hunting, and foxhunting is BANNED there should be no more debate about it...;)
Genie?en... :)

HAPPY HUNTING, NOT !!!!!
I think if you don't like fox hunting, might I suggest that you don't go to one.
Mark R.... Sorry but I love to hunt.
It's hunting season now...Yippee!!
Hare coursing is good. Most of the hares escape.
As for hunting foxes....I'm all for that and I like most country sports.
You can be an animal lover and hunt.
And hunt Mart:PDT_Xtremez_42: not and A hunt:eek:
Isn't that known as schizophrenia!!!!

If that's the case then so be it. Why not ? Because they have colours and look p p pretty (polly) ?
I had some Parrakeet type birds living by me. Nightmare. The noise is bad.
There was talk of shooting the European Eagle owls we have here because they're munching on hedgehogs and other birds of prey.
I would hate them being shot but conservation is conservation. Could I do it. Yes, if there was a need.
I am against the blood sport killing of defenceless animals as much as the next decent man but the next time you see all those lovely sheep on the hills or cows mulling around a field, or even horses in the paddock. Remember they are only there and being bred for one thing or they'd be extinct altogether. Food or Sport.
So then, they would become extinct anyway so no thread ;)
No sorry needed as you are wrong (again). And don't be afraid, I wont bite :unibrow:
I like all animal species and find the majority of them interesting. That goes for rats, squirrels and magpies. However, because I hunt a certain animal which by law is legal to hunt then that doesn't mean I don't like the animal.
If magpies where to become rare then I would try and help increase the species.
I have owned many stuffed animals including, foxes, owls, birds of prey, kayman, badger, red squirrel and a 9ft brown bear. All of which were very old or had papers for proof from DEFRA.:PDT11
I would never buy any new stuffed animals. The reason- you don't know if they where killed legally and if they where stuffed legally.:PDT10
