Used to drink in all these pubs, specially the Nutty when I was Living in Althorpe Street and then Cockburn street back in the early 80's. My local was The Bleak but spent a lot of time in the Pheonix as well. Are they still going?

Yes, the bleak house and Phoenix are still going. My pop in law hails from off Cockburn st - but from way back.
Going up Townsend Lane I noticed the Canon tinned up - notice the ad on the wall for 'Ged's Karaoke' :)
Tis not me honest.
OK then - been rumbled....

The Pig and Whistle, corner of Chapel St and Convent Garden
Got a shock to see The Greeky (corner of Greek St and London Rd) has been demolished. Don't know why it looked in good order the last time I saw it.
But I haven't drank in London Rd for a while and I don't know who does, so it might just be a casualty of modern times.
Joe.. This is a super nice looking pub.. I love the building.. So well kept that corner.. I would love to own that.. and live on top.. just so cool.. thanks for posting it...
The Wellington, Edge Lane is to re-open soon. It has new, large entrance doors, so maybe it's not going to be a pub?
The Hollow, Mill Street was demolished this week. It hadn't been a pub for the past few years.

There are quite a few former pubs being used as something else now. I don't see many re-opening as corner pubs for local residents anymore. I do believe the Jubilee in Litherland is to close after the world cup final for refurb and re-opening as we're booked to play at it.

Great pic's Joe,but I'd have my doubts about the Ashdale Inn......1749? :unibrow:
I thought the same myself, Found out it`s Younger`s ale from 1749
Funny enough I did have half of Tetleys bitter in there (it was a hot day) the inside is very old world type of bar
