What an EXCELLENT thread!!! :)
Thank you SO MUCH, Quincy, for sharing these WONDERFUL pics and your great - and often hilarious - comments!
There's no place like Liverpool - and no people like the Scousers! Simply wonderful! :)
Btw, I think it's wonderful that you have mounted police over there - here we hardly ever see any.
How many Superlambananas are there now? I only remember the one, the big yellow one which used to stand near/on Mann Island (?) on the right-hand side, coming from Lord Street and crossing the Strand.
Oh yes do keep it going if you can...it is most enjoyable to see your photo's.....I especially enjoyed the ones you took in my old birthplace of Crosby.....for me your photo's..like many others on the board are a wonderful trip down memory lane.....will save me having to go and visit everywhere when I next get up for a visit.....plus my hubby is also enjoying seeing them....:)
Seconded, thirded and fourthed - your pics are brilliant fun! By the way, do you ever actually spend any time at home?! You seem to be taking pics of the most diverse parts of Liverpool about 24 hours a day. Should we have a whip-round for you for a new pair of shoes?
Kind of gathered that :handclap:
but how does she manage to be in about 6 places at once?! One minute she's in Southport, the next minute she's been beamed up in Edge Hill... There must be a secret. Rocket-powered Superquince?
LOL oh I wish. a rocket pack would be fab, although not having a head for heights could scupper that plan a bit.
I usually gather the street life pics over a couple of weeks and a lot of the other pics are not posted in the order I took them. I take so many pics I sometimes forget what I have.
even my Cockney born hubby is learning about Liverpool during our travels. it keeps both of us out of mischief, well apart from him frightening dogs on buses lol.

I love your pictures and captions.
I'd like a book of them :handclap::handclap: They are always so amusing :handclap:
Brilliant.. and totally funny.. I like the Anoraks anonymous..Very humorous.. :handclap:
They are brilliant Quincy.:handclap:
How true that is :) :)
The tumble weed will go past before long ! Ha!
.. and I was told by my mate's husband that us forumheads are all anoraks !! :D
:PDT_Aliboronz_24: Class stuff, Quincy!
cheers folks.
that ice cream seller pitches there a couple of times a week. whenever I go past on the bus he's hardly doing a roaring trade. he occasionally goes through the North Park when it's full of kids, but he's not exactly surrounded.
there's a couple of specific places I still want to do over the water when I get the energy.
luv Quincy...anorak and proud!
Quincy, I like so many others here :) when they see the captions on your great pics, when's the next lot coming :PDT_Piratz_26:
Now that is one bad joke....lol.....I also love the anorak photo.....you really should think seriously about making up a book of these..I for one would buy it....:handclap:
Yes we would - you would do a roaring trade :)
Yep! Put me at the top of the list for your book, Quincy :handclap: There's real love goes into those photos and the typical scouse humour just adds to our pleasure :) Think seriously about a book, you've already got a queue of keen fans lining up :) :handclap:
:PDT_Aliboronz_11:oh dear I don't know about that, but I doubt I could fill a pamphlet at the moment lol.
I'm quite happy posting them here and on Flickr, saves anyone having to pay to see them.
I'm genuinely touched that so many people seem to like them, perhaps I've found my vocation at long last eh?
I think you have Quincy :)
You have a talent there.
ooh folks please , I won't be able to get the hood on my anorak over my head soon! :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
haven't been out with camera much, but I did manage 2 jaunts out. 1 to see the old buses and another to take my grand-daughter to Leeds as she started uni this month. But there's always summat to catch my eye
