There is no minimum height for rooms in the building regs. The height is fine if only wall lights are used. The centre core will need to be cut out. Cutting out the core and knocking out every other floor is expensive and leaves few apartments to sell.Quote:

Those photographs are terrific, good on you.
Most of the Central Docks have been turned to glorified ponds to "accommodate canal boats". There is no facility to berth deep water ships as the docks were filled in to pond depths to make money for British Waterways/Peel. Dumping waste is lucrative. Of course canal boats have been a part of the dock system, and should remain so, however very peripheral to deep water vessels, which have been eliminated.Quote:

Are you sure. So if I wanted to build an extension with a room with a four feet living height for the 7 dwarfs, i'd be allowed - don't think so.
Besides, whatever the building regs determine, it's up to the developer if he thinks expensive apartments with very low ceilings wouldn't sell and that's why it hasn't happened that way.
