The Flower clock site is now under water, the lake is extended into the flower garden (as was.)
The flower clock was nowhere near the lake or water...behave yerself,Samples. :)
The good ship 'Billy D' went down in the great gale of 1820 ( with the loss of all hands and feet!)

Rear of the town hall
I wonder Joe, did you take this shot at the exact time the 'tardis' transmorgified itself along the side of the Town Hall? This may be why the telephone box has lost it's colour as it was disappearing and why it is red where it reappeared? ;)
Of course there is a black-box. Joe just brought another one the red. ;)))
Nope, the red ones for Royalist. :)Quote:
Aye surely both telephone boxes are red?

You need to take those bottle spectacles off sir...thats a Pheasant.
I had to look it up as I don't know the difference between the two :)
apparently, a grouse has a short tail and tends to live on open heather moorland - pheasants have a long tail and tend to live in woodland areas.
George would know cos` he`s a pheasant plucker.
Quite a lot of pheasants to be seen on the old Cheshire lines area at Altcar. One ran into the back wheel of my cycle one day so I put it into my pannier took it home and gave it to my brother who got 2 meals for him and his wife, then made a good pan of soup with the remains.
Well thats me slapped on the wrists then :)
I have no idea of Birds, though I knew it was something like grouse/pheasant, and someone told me it looked like Grouse, so I took their word for it. I caught sight of this along the river (Birket?) in Leasowe on the footpath from across the road at Moreton Station, as it leads towards the Lighthouse. I thought it unusual and actually a pleasant surprise, as I certainly didnt expect to see one of these there. I think he was surprised too, a very wary creature indeed.
Saw a lot of Ladybirds too, strangely...
