Yes perhaps "shop" was a bit of hyperbole !! It was so funny I couldn't resist posting the photo. Of course the sign belonged to the Asian clothes shop next door who were taking advantage of the free advertising space. Smithdown Rd is rapidly becoming Liverpool's equivalent to Manchester's "curry mile", AKA Wilmslow Rd, Rusholme.Quote:

Lovely clothes and so comfortable to wear. I had a shalwa kameez hand made for me once by an Indian friend - lovely fabric to wear and hides all your lumps and bumps too :D
An interesting observation, Taffy. That would mean that Smithdown Road is becoming also equivalent to "Banglatown" a term given to the Brick Lane area of London's East End. :)Quote:
