Hi Joe,
that chimney pic' reminded me to ask what this building is/was! It's up towards Herculaneum dock.
Looks like a lookout tower and pump house combined.
It was a pump house, the last time I was in the area the Red Cross were using it.

Couple of things I noticed there GD within the archive photo - Firstly that the Cathedral in the distance looks unfinished, and secondly I just wasnt aware there used to be a clock tower by the Albert Dock... have any the info on that?
It was only by seeing some pic's on here(Ged's,I think?) that I was aware there was ever a clock! I assumed it was demolished/bombed during WW2.but obviously not,as the date is 1947!? Couldn't find any front views of it neither!Quote:
