What great pics, especially of the Brown Cow pub. I recall it around 1964-65 as the first pub me and my mates got served in.The market trade had gone at night and we put the youngest lad (14) as a lookout on the door for any approaching policemen.When we were asked " What do you want" by the barman I froze and the only thing I could think of was " Four brown mixed, please". We sat down to drink and after a while our lookout came running in shouting "Coppers". We all raced out to the yard where the toilets were and climbed over. I don't know if there really was a policeman to this day.

Laura rang her own number, the young lad who answered knew Laura..
and brought her phone to her house.. and would not accept £20 Laura offered him..
Just mentioning this as there are bad, and good.. everywhere..
